The Home Secretary, Amber Rudd, visits APG

In Year 6, the children have had an exciting time learning about Democracy. They visited the Houses of Parliament and enjoyed learning about the past struggles between the Monarchy and Parliament. After studying The Suffragettes and women in politics, we were thrilled  to welcome Amber Rudd, the Home Secretary, to visit our Year 6 pupils. After explaining what her job entailed, Ms Rudd listened to the children making a short presentation and then took questions from the children. We all learnt a lot from those questions and answers, including how to curtsy or bow in case you meet the Queen!
