Year 5 spend the day at the National Archives

Year 5 went to the National Archives for a workshop called 'Four days' Hard Labour'. The purpose of the workshop was to learn about the archives as well as to analyse primary resources, such as maps, pictures, diary entries and photographs, which showed the reality of hard laborers. It was particularly useful to attend this workshop as this is what we are learning in Humanities this half term.

Pupils showed outstanding behaviour as well as maturity when travelling on public transport. They also proved to be very enthusiastic and knowledgable during the workshop.

Parent volunteers, children and teacher really enjoyed the workshop at the National Archives and would definitely go there again!
