Reception Class at the Farm

On Friday 15th March, Surrey class joined RADA class from King Solomon Academy for a trip to Belmont Farm. The children enjoyed a tour of the farm and even fed the animals! After lunch there was time to handle the small animals including an enormous rabbit, a very shy rat and a ferret. The children were able to share their knowledge linked to this half term’s question ‘How do animals grow?’. This is what a couple of them said:

Leon: “The horses eat the nuts but they have grass in the fields too".

James: “This trip was so much fun! I even touched the rat’s long tail. He was so soft and furry!”
